Having performed seasonally on Martha's Vineyard for decades, The Jon Bates Band is an extended family of musical talent, featuring sensational frontline vocalists Debbie Major and Steve Riddick, with Ken McGloin (guitar), Kendall Buchanan (bass) and Jon Bates (drums). They play an inspired repertoire of popular gems, covering multiple genres from the 1940's to the 2020's.

For their Woodstove Studios debut, they will also be performing some select material from their "D Major Project" repertoire, which evolved from a two-year residency at a popular Harlem nightspot in New York City called “Ristorante Settepani”. The goal there was to explore well known popular songs in every genre, and entice listeners by taking a completely fresh musical approach with each one, restructuring melodies, rhythms, harmonies and presenting them in an entirely new and engaging way.
